Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Cosmium Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the Cosmium Journey website (the “Site”) or interact with us through community channels linked from the Site.

Cosmium Journey also runs as an experience on Roblox (the “Experience”). Roblox processes account, gameplay, and payment data under its own privacy policy. This document focuses on what we control through the Site and our community spaces—not everything Roblox collects on its platform.

2. Information we collect

The information we receive depends on how you interact with us. Today the Site is largely informational and does not require you to create an account here.

Information you provide

  • Messages you send in Discord or other community channels (username, display name, message content, attachments, and timestamps)
  • Bug reports, feedback, or support requests you voluntarily submit, which may include screenshots or Roblox usernames
  • Information you include if we add contact forms, surveys, or email sign-ups in the future (we will update this policy before collecting it)

Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data your browser sends to our hosting provider (IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and approximate region derived from IP)
  • Server and security logs used to keep the Site online and investigate abuse
  • Cookie or similar data described in our Cookie Policy, if applicable

Information from Roblox

When you play the Experience, Roblox may share limited information with experience owners through Roblox’s analytics and developer tools (for example, aggregated visit counts or general engagement metrics). We do not receive your Roblox password. Any in-experience data storage is subject to Roblox’s systems and our game scripts as described in our FAQ.

3. How we use information

We use information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and Experience
  • Respond to player questions, bug reports, and moderation issues
  • Announce updates, events, and patch notes through community channels
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, cheating, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Understand general audience interest in the Site (for example, through aggregated analytics if we enable them later)

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data only when we have a valid legal basis, such as:

  • Consent — when you choose to join Discord or submit information voluntarily
  • Legitimate interests — to run the Site, secure our services, and grow the community in a way that respects your rights
  • Legal obligation — when required to retain or disclose information by law

5. How we share information

We may share information in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — hosting, CDN, or analytics vendors that process data on our instructions (for example, Cloudflare or similar infrastructure used to deliver the Site)
  • Platform partners — Roblox, as required to operate the Experience on their platform
  • Community platforms — Discord and social networks when you interact there through our links
  • Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect players, our team, or the public
  • Business changes — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where required

We do not share information with advertisers for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Community messages may remain in Discord according to Discord’s retention settings and channel history. Server logs are typically rotated on a schedule defined by our hosting provider.

In-game progress retention is described in our FAQ and Terms of Service. Backups may be kept for disaster recovery even after account activity stops.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information we control. No website or online service can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for safeguarding your Roblox and Discord credentials.

8. Children’s privacy

The Experience is available through Roblox, which has its own parental controls and age rules. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the Site from children beyond what is necessary to operate a public fan website.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, contact us through Discord and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where we control that data.

9. International visitors

We may process information in countries other than where you live, including where our hosting or team members are located. Those countries may have different data protection laws. By using the Site, you understand your information may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards where required.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

To make a request, contact us through the official Discord linked on the homepage. We may need to verify your identity (for example, by confirming your Roblox or Discord username) before responding. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

11. Third-party links and services

The Site links to Discord, Roblox, YouTube, TikTok, X, and other services. Those platforms collect and use information under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review:

  • Roblox Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy
  • Discord Privacy Policy
  • Policies of any social network you reach through our links

We are not responsible for the practices of third-party sites or apps.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the bottom of this page shows when the latest version was posted. Material changes may also be announced on Discord. Continued use of the Site after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy.

13. Contact

Privacy questions or requests can be sent through our official Discord server linked on the homepage. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
